The Intimate Couple: A Photography Workshop for Husbands
Photograph someone you love

Couples Photography Workshop

A shared process of seeing and being seen.

Move beyond the selfie.

A private, 2.5 +/- hour creative workshop designed especially for couples where one would like to better photograph the other..

A space to move beyond the noise of daily life and focus on the quiet, romantic, and often unspoken rhythm between two people.

I will guide you through the process of photographing and learning how to take better pictures of your loved one — wife, girlfriend, partner, or someone close to you.

Instantly create better images with basic tips and suggestions.

All levels of comfort, from casual images to portraiture to artistic nude.

My studio is a private, respectful environment where the human form is treated with the highest level of professionalism.

No professional photography experience is necessary.
You are welcome to bring what you have, from a professional camera to an iPhone.

Note: This workshop is for personal, private, and artistic use only. No erotic, explicit, commercial, or content-creator photography. Images are for the couple’s private use unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Why Husband?
Search "couples photography workshops" and you get listings about how to teach photographers how to pose couples clients. This is different.

This workshop is for the person who always gets handed the camera: be it husband, wife, partner, friend or designated Instagram shooter - and wants to make better, more natural photographs of someone they love. Husband helps stop you from scrolling, because it identifies the concept - that it !

What to Expect
A Guided Experience
This isn't a lecture. It is a hands-on, collaborative session where I guide you through seeing, figuring out the light, posing, and connection. We start with a conversation to learn your goals, apprehensions, strengths, challenges.

The Creative Process
We will explore how to see light, how to use your environment, and how to capture the "unspoken rhythm" of your partner.  I am there to provide technical tips and artistic direction as you work.

A Safe Space
The studio is a private sanctuary. Whether you are capturing casual portraits or artistic nudes, the focus is always on respect, comfort, and the beauty of your specific bond.  There is no erotic or sexually explicit images allowed.

Common Questions
Do I need a professional camera?
No. You are welcome to use anything from a high-end DSLR to an iPhone. The workshop is about the eye and the connection, not the gear. If you are interested in shooting with a professional camera or film camera that can be arranged for a fee.

My partner is nervous about being photographed. Is that okay?
Yes. It’s completely normal. I have photographed hundreds of people, most initially nervous.
There is no pressure on "the need to perform" for the camera. We move slowly, ensuring your partner feels seen and respected rather than "on display."

What kind of photos will we make?
That is up to you. We can focus on classic portraiture, lifestyle shots, or artistic form. We discuss your comfort levels and creative goals prior to the workshop.

Who owns the images?
You do. These images are for your personal, private use. They are a record of your time together and a celebration of your relationship. Rarely, I will ask for consent to use select sessions for marketing purposes. If you are asked it means your images are very good.

Preparing for Your Workshop
  • Clothing: Bring 2–3 timeless options (jeans, white shirts, or simple dresses). Avoid logos or busy patterns that distract from the face and form. That said - if there is a favorite outfit or costume idea lets discuss so that I may prepare.

  • Skin Care: Please avoid arriving wearing tight clothing (bras, underwear, socks, leggings) for at least two hours before the session to prevent skin marks.

  • Arrival: Come as you are. You don’t need to arrive with "model" confidence; you only need to arrive with curiosity. Makeup and hair are up to you, most often the less the better.
